In a society where women are blessed to live a traditional lifestyle, or work in what used to be known as a man’s field, I’m thankful for this choice. I’m equally thankful for the women who paved the way for our right to vote, and so many “firsts.” As a blind woman, I’m thankful for being born in an era of technology where my existence can be more
productive.
A worthy wife is a crown for her husband, but a disgraceful woman is like cancer in his bones. Proverbs 12:4 ESV
When listening to media and what’s popular, most would have no idea how much grit it takes to be a stay-at-home mom, let alone to walk in the role of a pastor’s wife. So, today, I thought I’d pass on a couple of things I’ve read to give you insight. If you are a traditional mother and/or a pastor’s wife, you will be saying, “Amen!” throughout these lists. Enjoy.

At a first glance, no one would want to apply for either of these positions. Too demanding, impossible criteria, and no visible benefits. Even facing vision loss, I’ve managed to do both. Yes, it is impossible to accomplish every criteria.
In order to achieve success, one must be a Christian who has learned or is learning how to rely on God’s strength, and His ways, over their own. They must learn to focus on what God wants and whatever is best for their
family, rather than comparing themselves to others. Equally imperative, is the need to embrace your uniqueness over copying others’ methods and techniques. Isn’t that what every Christian needs to learn?
When you’ve managed to do that, there isn’t a more fulfilling occupation in the world. I am blessed that I chose to answer God’s call on my life for both positions.
What has God called you to do? Whatever choice or calling, you can’t do it all on your own. Ask for God’s strength to make your life more fulfilling today.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Share what spoke to you the most.

Jena,
I’ve watched many Pastor’s wives lives throughout the years of my church heritage.
They have in my opinion, one of the most difficult roles in the world.
I think you have summed the tasks up pretty well, and yes, YOU have lived this list!
Blessings!
