April has been most difficult for me on many fronts. Suffering has been more my norm than not. However, I don’t have to camp out there. That leads to depression, and I don’t want a fall into that trap. You don’t have to either. There exists a technique capable of propelling you into victory. Shorten suffering. Whether you’ve received a bad diagnosis, a natural disaster, financial hardship, loss of a job, or loss of a loved one, this technique will work. A couple of our church members requested I share this with you after I filled in for my husband recently, behind the pulpit.
Naturally, I shared scripture and some foundational truths we should know during the hard times first. But, today, I’m discussing the technique only. There are many great Bible teachers to assist you with additional verses on suffering. Have you ever asked why something bad is happening in your life? Most do. When you did Did you ask?

These are wonderful thoughts Jena. I have often thought about the man who ran the Studebaker Company who committed suicide in July 1933, just 5 months before Studebaker became a multi-million dollar company and began producing the military vehicles for WWII. One of the most tragic events is when we give up. God allows us to go through things to shape us to endure and to help other to endure. One of my favorite scriptures is Joshua 1:9 — do not be dismayed, do not lose courage, He is with us!
