Resurrection Sunday is a more fitting name than Easter to me. This name points out why we’re celebrating Easter in the first place. It also makes a statement summarizing what Christianity is all about, and how it differs from other world religions.
Recently I listened to a speech by a Muslim woman to Muslim leaders. Before you go bonkers on me, I’m not against Muslims. As a Christian, I love everyone. I love my children, but I don’t always love their choices, or behavior. However, I can identify their strengths and weaknesses. Christ loved the Pharisees, too, but not their religious attitudes. Remember?
In this speech, this woman said some startling things, along with some truths. She spoke on education, reminding them their purpose wasn’t to fit into America’s Judeo-Christian Society, nor to accept pluralism, and melt unseen into some melting pot, but rather, to promote Islamic agenda. My purpose for including this statement is to wake you up; not to stone Muslims. We must be aware of what’s going on in our world.
Far too long, Christians have sat passively by while others have moved forward with goals, and steps to achieve them. You see, this speech was given in 1989, and every goal mentioned in it has been achieved. We have sat idly by, so whose fault is that?
On the other hand, I want to share some things mentioned by her since the principles are applicable to Christianity also. At each asterisk is a paraphrase of a statement she made that caught my attention.
* We need to look at non-Muslims as opportunities to persuade to the Islamic way of thinking
(Likewise, Christians need to recognize every person God created is as an opportunity to lead to Christ…to have eternal life. I believe we call that evangelism.)
* Some of the Muslims fight among each other, are lazy, and have a tendency to focus on problems instead of being solution-oriented. They forget to live like Ali.
(Likewise, Christians fight among themselves, are lazy, self-absorbed, instead of centering their life around serving Christ)
* We must find common ground with Americans, in order to convert them to our beliefs. This requires learning about them, and observing similarities.
(Likewise, Christians must become knowledgeable of other religions, as well as know why we believe the way we do. We must pray for souls to be saved through words given by the Holy Spirit, and realize even though parts of the building might look-alike, the foundations are completely different. Ever hear, or read, about a house built on a rock and one on sand?)
* Muslims must do their own educating at home. Muslims first…be proud of who you are. We must also build our own schools down the road, with a standard of excellence, to attract non-Muslims in, so we can freely teach our agenda.
(Schools in America began in the home and churches. How many Christian schools and home educators do you see today? Christians let the government take over educating our children, setting the guidelines, and we dropped the ball teaching Biblical values at home. Later, we allowed a woman’s influence to take prayer out of school. Now, anything except Christianity can be taught in public schools)
* Education is the political pathway to achieve our agenda. You must get involved at the local, state, and national levels. This means PTA and school board, reading mentors, etc…. This means doing book reviews on textbooks and recommending books on Islam to public libraries. It means learning what federal grants are available to promote our agenda, as well as laws.
(Christians, too, need to be involved in the same manner)
Without going into details of what degree this is happening across America, I want to speak to those calling themselves Christians. We serve a risen Savior. One who sacrificed His flesh for your/my sin. He gave His life so we might live. He rose again on the third day so we can live with Him eternally. This hope is unique to Christianity alone. Jesus is ALIVE!
It’s time, we as Christians, rise again. We’ve been asleep way too long. We need to put God first, get involved, and tell others about our Lord and Savior. If we truly believe He is the Son of God, and have a personal relationship with Him, we’ll appreciate the suffering He went through for us. We’d be so excited about His resurrection power, that we’d go forward in His boldness to stand up for what is right.

If you agree, share this!
I’m not usually this bold, or direct, but it’s time. Take America back. Now, go do the next right thing!
